All was shattered, all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the shadow and the breaking of the world. And him they named Dragon.

A sheepherder, a blacksmith and a trickster. One of them is to fulfill the prophesy of the dragon, but the wheel weaves as it will and the pattern has been set around three boys. Perhaps, to confuse the dark one until it's almost too late, or for a greater cause yet unknown.

Rand al'Thor is a farmer's boy from Two Rivers, a village at the edge of the world where they still believed the legends to be just myths, the great men that walked the land through ages unreal, and the war stories just a thing of nightmares.

The only worries the people of Two Rivers had was tilling through the mountain soil for food, and praying fast and good summer. Until the winter it changes, when the Wisdom could no longer tell what she hears on the wind. The winter brings more harshness than required, and with it, a dose of reality.

Between the appearance of a rider who can only be seen by young boys of a certain age, the arrival of an Aes Sedai with her warder, Padan Fain, a peddler who comes bearing news that sounded like tales still, the gleeman who seems more than an entertainer, the trolloc's invasion, Tam al'Thor's fever and a Wisdom too young for her role, the life of the Edmond's fielders are about to change forever, the life of three boys more, and there's no stopping it.

This is too great a series to cram into a single review, however, so it's going to be one per book, or more, if requested. The wheel of time has 14 books in total, and I'm only just in book 2!

Book one comes with a little bit of uncertainties, and struggles for survival. But that is as expected, it takes more than a few days to make great people, and certainly more than a book to weave the wheel of time around legends and ages.

Jordan brings in a lot of characters as you go on, it might be almost overwhelming at first, but it gets easier, and he develops them in such a way that you will have no problem recalling any, if you need to.

This is a fantasy series in which your favorite characters have cool tricks up their sleeves. The book is set on a character who realizes he can channel, using the one power from the true source. The last time anyone could do that was ages ago, and a group of people has since then been devoted to ensuring it never happens again, because it was what caused the breaking of the world. But within the same group are people who’s life has been dedicated to finding this dragon. The dark one is stirring.

They're Ta'veren, they're young, they're now unsure who they really are. But the wheel weaves as the wheel wills, and the prophesies will be fulfilled.
